We are looking for an experienced AUTOMATION MANAGER to support our growth and to build a strong automation team in ophthalmic production.
This position is connected to a factory expansion project and to raising the overall level of automation in production. You will have the opportunity to influence both new initiatives and the modernization of existing processes, especially in how data and automation are utilized and digitalized. Our goal is to create a modern, automated facility with validated data flows and readiness for eBR implementation.
You will be responsible for the implementation of the MES system in a GMP environment and will immediately join the global Tulip MES project, for which you will take ownership including project planning and scheduling. Your scope will cover SCADA systems (Line Managers, WinCC, Desigo CC), ERP and warehouse management systems, as well as AGV and production automation control systems.
You will lead a team, together managing and overseeing all automation and data management systems related to production, including both GxP-critical and supporting systems. You will report to the Head of the Technical Department and collaborate extensively with several functions, such as production, maintenance, projects, and the laboratory.
We expect you to have:
- 5–10 years of experience in implementing Industry 4.0 solutions, preferably in a GMP environment
- Experience in warehouse management (+ ERP)
- Relevant education in automation/software engineering (B.Sc./M.Sc. in Engineering)
- Experience in the development and operation of production control systems in relation to automation
- A solid understanding of data — how it is stored and how it moves across equipment of different ages
- Fluency in Finnish and English
We offer you a broad and versatile role where you can define the strategy for raising the level of automation and build something entirely new. You will have a genuine chance to make an impact and take part in a major transformation project, where you can also challenge and develop your change management skills. You will be supported by a professional team and receive thorough onboarding to the specific characteristics and requirements of the pharmaceutical industry.
Employee benefits include a wide range of perks such as meal vouchers, a bike benefit, sports, culture and wellness allowances, as well as leisure-time insurance. In addition, you will be part of our attractive bonus scheme. Remote work is possible approximately 1–2 days per week.
Say yes to what’s next: We will begin interviews during the application period, so please submit your application with salary expectations as soon as possible, but no later than 5.10.2025
